Musa Keys And Davido Win Afrimma Song Of The Year. Musa Appreciate Makamu, professionally known as Musa Keys, is a South African record producer born in Giyani and raised in Flora Park, Polokwane. Makamu is known for his 2021 single “Vula Mlomo” which was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).
The winners of the 2023 edition of African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMAs) were announced at a ceremony in Texas, US, on 17 September. Now in its 10th year, the awards platform recognises and celebrates notable musical works and artists across Africa.
This year’s biggest winners include Congolese singer Fally Ipupa, who took home the trophy for Best Francophone, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award. Nigerian singer Timaya was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Rema took home the Artist of the Year gong, while fellow Afrobeats singer Davido’s Timeless won Album of the Year.
