AKA’s daughter Kairo Forbes left fans consoling her after she cried on stage after singing her father’s song. In the past few days, she had rehearsed her father’s songs with Nadia Nakai, building her emotions.The emotions got the best of her when she sang the songs on the stage.
Lady Du pens out her emotions in a eulogy dedicated to Kairo Forbes.The Amapiano singer shared a video of the 8-year-old performing her late dad, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ song at the 947 Joburg Day over the weekend.
“I know you might not know me personally, but you have touched my soul little girl, seeing a little girl walk up a big stage to fill her dad’s shoes has literally made me cry soooo much. She’s strong, a brave young lady. I just want to wish you good health and wealth my child may God continue to bless you abundantly,” Du wrote.“Sending all the angels to protect and give her strength to be the best child and sibling to her sister, we are proud of you and I know daddy is in heaven smiling,” she added.
DJ Zinhle shared the pictures on her Instagram, explaining how Kairo had suppressed her feelings.“After bravely performing her dad’s song in front of thousands of people, my 8 year old broke crying saying she just misses her daddy & wishes he was here. Actually, Kairo tries a lot of suppress her feelings and this is one of the few times I’ve seen her cry like that…” she said.
