Born May 5, 2001 in the United Kingdom, Mya K went professionally solo in 2010, releasing 7 unofficial singles since then, including collaborations with Vector and Jaywon.
Building on the growing success of a string of singles stretching back to 2018, South London-raised singer Mya K returns with her new single, “Call Me”.
Tweaking her R&B sound slightly, this time she’s opted for something a little different, stirring in a pronounced Amapiano influence, thanks to producer VELLI, to give the track even more heat and intensity. It’s a fitting adjustment for this track, which is equal parts playful and seductive.
Speaking about her latest drop, Mya K said: “This track is so different to anything I’ve released in the past, and yet it still feels right. I want to take full advantage of being independent and really just experiment with various sounds, while keeping R&B at the centre.”
