Nobantu Vilakazi Explains The Story Behind Her Hit Single ‘Ntabez’kude’. Born and bred in Meadowlands, Soweto, Vilakazi began her career in early 2014 at the age of 19 and worked her way up to collaborate with SA’s most recognisable artists. Vilakazi, who is known for her youthful and exuberant spirit, has in recent years grown her footprint in the music industry through her impressive ear-piercing vocals and relatable storytelling over log drums and pulsing basslines.

Ntabez’kude showcases Nobantu’s popular Ndlovukazi alter ego in this catchy sing-along new single produced by Stixx and Zwayetoven.

Sharing her excitement on the release of Ntabez’kude, Nobantu explained the story behind the single saying : “This song narrates a long-distance relationship story of a young woman longing to see and experience affection from her lover. I am thrilled to be sharing this beautiful love story with my fans, taking them through a journey relatable to many, as love comes naturally to humans”, says Nobantu Vilakazi.

Speaking on her music career, the Amapiano vocalist said: “When I started my music career, I couldn’t find my voice, which made it hard for me to slot myself in the industry. However, seeing that I’ve always had this thing of never allowing anyone to tell me any different, I persevered. I knew I’m one of the best singers out here, so I kept on pushing.”
