Sbuda Maleather and Ice Beats React To ‘Jägermeister’ Single Going 4x Platinum. Amapiano, born roughly one hour north of Johannesburg in the administrative capital city of Pretoria, is pioneered by hometown artists, and has seen more and more newbies jumping into the sound and actually thriving. Many of those being Ice Beats Slide and Sbuda MaLeather.

A brand-new tune by skilled producer and beatmaker Ice Beats Slide and rising star Sbuda Maleather is already making ripples in the South African music scene. The talented Ice Beats Slide and Sbuda MaLeather joined forces and released a song titled “Jagermeister,” featuring contributions from 2woBunnies. The song has now gone 4x Platinum and this is a huge milestone for the two stars considering their journey within the music industry. Ice Beats Slide wrote: “Huge moment for me and my brother.”

The Amapiano sound features a heavy log drum baseline that permeates any room or space that it’s played in. Derived from the South African sounds of Kwaito, the roots of Amapiano stems from the struggles and strides of apartheid in the 1940’s.

Currently, Amapiano is arguably South Africa’s most infectious new commodity, attracting new audiences as the genre continues to spread globally like wildfire.
