The Amapiano wave continues to captivate audiences worldwide, with American rapper Wiz Khalifa being the latest international artist to express his interest in the genre. During an Instagram Live session, Wiz Khalifa revealed his plans to release Amapiano songs, sparking excitement and anticipation among fans.

In a candid moment during an Instagram Live session, Wiz Khalifa shared his intention to explore the Amapiano genre and potentially release songs in that style as early as next year. His announcement instantly sparked a frenzy among fans, who eagerly await the fusion of his distinctive rap style with the infectious Amapiano beats. This news further emphasizes the global impact and appeal of the genre, which originated in South Africa and has rapidly gained popularity on an international scale.

“Y’all could get some Amapiano songs from me probably next year (2024),” Wiz Khalifa said.

This is not the first time the rapper has shown his appreciation for the South African sound, as he previously delighted fans by jamming to an Amapiano track by Khanyisa called “Zula Zula.” Wiz Khalifa’s eagerness to dive into Amapiano represents another milestone in the genre’s global expansion and solidifies its position as a formidable force in the music industry. The footage showcased his genuine enjoyment of the music, further solidifying the rapper’s appreciation for the genre and piquing curiosity about his potential future endeavors within the Amapiano realm.

As the Amapiano movement continues to evolve and expand, collaborations between international artists and South African musicians have become increasingly common. These cross-cultural partnerships not only contribute to the global recognition of Amapiano but also create opportunities for artistic exchange and the introduction of fresh perspectives into the genre.
