DJ Sumbody’s Ayepyep Business Partner Reportedly Opens Case Against ‘Gang Leader’. The drama surrounding DJ Sumbody’s business, Ayepyep, which he co-owned with business partner, Kagiso Setsetse doesn’t seem to stop. The latest reports are that Setsetse has opened a criminal case against a Cape Town gang leader.

According to Sunday World, this comes after Cape Town 28s gang leader, Ralph Stanfield allegedly hijacked Ayeyep Cape Town branch. He has also allegedly pressed the same criminal charges against Stanfield’s wife Nicole Johnson, her cousin Saadiq Peterson and the alleged gangster employee Warren Dennis. Brooklyn police station in Pretoria and was transferred to the Cape Town Central station for investigation.

Setsetse reportedly met Stanfield through DJ Sumbdoy and he was to ensure that their Ayepyep business in Cape Town would not be attacked by gangsters and in return they were to pay him a protection fee. The publication reports that DJ Sumbody and his business partner allegedly paid almost half a million rand every month for the services until they allegedly demanded shares in the business.

“We asked him to pay for the shares but he refused. He instructed us to issue his mother-in-law, Barbara Johnson, with a share certificate. We issued the share certificate but decided against it before we could sign or register it at the CIPC,” Setsetse was quoted saying.

“The office has established that the case was indeed registered at the Brooklyn police station in Gauteng, and it relates to a crime that was allegedly perpetrated in Cape Town. The case docket is en route to Cape Town,” Western Cape provincial police spokesperson Colonel Andree Traut confirmed the case.

Back in May it was reported that Setsetse had left left the country because a well-known kingpin was allegedly threatening his life. The businessman was allegedly scared to return to South Africa after allegedly receiving death threats from Stanfield on April 10.

Stanfield allegedly claimed to own the Hawks saying “they will throw the case out”.
