DBN Gogo Shares Who She Believes Is The Current Biggest Amapiano Export. ‘Amapiano to the world’ is a term coined by the genre’s artists early on as they took their sound beyond the borders of South Africa. A few years later, Amapiano has birthed many stars who are currently dominating charts and festivals all over the world.

Whilst there’s a solid list of Amapiano artists taking over the world with successful music projects and tours including the MajorLeague Twins, DNB Gogo herself, Musa Keys, Focalistic, DJ Maphorisa, Kabza de Small, JazziQ, Young Stunna to name a few, there’s one name on everyone’s lips when it comes to Amapiano. From South Africa to America and Europe, from fans to celebs, one name seems to be highlighted the most and according to DNB Gogo, it’s the biggest Amapiano export right now, Uncle Waffles.

Speaking to JazziQ during an interview on his podcast, DBN Gogo shared how she putting herself out there made her part of the artists who changed the game. Shen then went on to add how disrupting how things were done in the genre opened doors for artists who have gone on to do major things. “We must disrupt, we must change the game, you can see it even from then how things are moving forward… Even with our biggest export right now, Uncle Waffles that we actually have to show up and show out and show other girls that it’s possible,” she said.
