Vigro Deep Opens Up About Leaving School To Pursue His Music Career. If you are a fan of Amapiano you will no doubt know the name Vigro Deep, the youngest DJ and record producer with big dreams. The star dropped out of school to pursue his music career. He has also made a name for himself in the music industry, more especially in the amapiano sub-genre.

“The story about me is that it was never too easy in terms of school and my parents. My parents didn’t see it as something that can ever happen. It therefore became very rough and I had to choose whether I’m going to school or I’m going to do music. At that time I decided to lie to my parents and make them think I’m going to school but I was actually going to do music. I therefore did music because I felt love for it and it showed me everything, it gave me hope. From that my parents saw that it is something that works and they saw that I was getting money from it. It showed them that this thing that I have chosen is actually working as opposed to doing something that wasn’t working,” Vigro explained.

Vigro Deep said his love for music inspires and motivates him. “When I started I wasn’t thinking that this would be the outcome, I was just doing music for no reason. Even my mom would keep asking what it is that you’re doing, making all this noise. But I understood what I was doing. As time went by I started to realize I had needs that were arising as a result of this such as transport, clothing and money and then I started to see that this thing is a business. I started to see that this is something that I am doing for the love of music,” he said.

He also mentions that he doesn’t know what he would be doing besides music. “I have no idea, this music thing was a true calling to me so I just went with it.”

The advice he would give to someone who’s trying to get into this industry is – “If you into school be in school but do music on the side. Music is a creative thing that you can do on the side until you decide where you want it to go. At some point you can then make a decision on whether you want to leave school and go do music or finish school first and then music,” he said.

Speaking on his future plans with music, Vigro revealed that he would like to have a music school. “My plan is to have a music school and to include all types of people whether disabled or not. I then want to feature them on my bigger events such as one man shows where they can come in to perform and show off their talents. There are people out there who want to get into the industry but they don’t have the knowledge,” he explained.
