Cassper Nyovest Calls Out Hip Hop Artists For Worrying About Amapiano. South African musical export Amapiano has crossed borders and cultural barriers, reaching as far as Japan. With the demand of new amapiano songs from growing ears, so is the number of artists joining the sound.

Cassper claims rappers are worried about Amapiano. The rapper who is known to have explored both genres urged his co-rappers to be free and be less bothered about amapiano. Amapiano is obviously the biggest sound in South Africa as it’s garnered the attention of various international artists, and it’s assumed that the emergence of the genre dethroned hip hop in South Africa.

The rapper who has jumped into amapiano of late took to social media to call out hip hop stars for worrying about amapiano. “Hip hop niggas is too worried about amapiano to be honest. Niggas is also too worried about numbers, likes and views. Just drop music niggas!! Amapiano this, amapiano that!!! Haha. The shit is going no where!!! This is the time to get creative !!! Let’s get busy!!! I’m inspired!!!”

Meanwhile, Mr JazziQ revealed in the first episode of his podcast that hip-hop isn’t dead but the artists are at fault. Stilo Magolide on the other hand explained that with the rise of the amapiano movement, 2019 has been an extremely tough year for hip-hop. He says the problem is a lack of unity in the game.  “It’s been a tough year for hip-hop but one thing is that a lot of artists are not putting out a lot of music and if they are putting out music, they are not putting out music together. The difference between hip-hop and people from other genres is that they always mix and feature each other on songs. Whereas, in hip-hop, rappers feature their friends. That’s why amapiano is killing the game. In hip-hop there is no unity.”
