Maphorisa Pleads With Doja Cat To Come Back Home. Born Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, the 34-year-old has mastered the art of maintaining relevance not only by staying abreast of sonic trends, but also by finding clever ways to keep the public engaged. That spirit, and his exceptional talent, has allowed him to stay on top of his game for the best part of a decade now. Just when you think you’ve got Maphorisa all figured out, he flips the script. Again and again.

DJ Maphorisa has taken to social media to plead with Doja Cat whose real name is to return to South Africa, her home. A recent photo of the American singer has gone viral on Mzansi Twitter, and it’s got people talking about how she looks more South African and American; it is believed that the South African in her is gradually emerging as her father is a South African.

The SA music producer saw the snap and urged her to return home in order to jointly promote Amapiano genre. He also asked her to drop a yano EP. “Doja please come home n phahla, n then give us amapiano ep danko,” he tweeted. See tweet:

Known for her hit songs such as Say So and Juicy, Doja Cat, has managed to solidify her name in the music scene. Having been in the music scene since she was a teenager, Doja has proved how fearless and insanely talented she is through her chart topping hits.

While she might be known as Doja Cat, her real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, who was born and raised in Los Angeles. The 25-year-old is the daughter of Yizo Yizo actor Dumisani Dlamini. Although she may be of South African descent, the American rapper has publicly spoken about her estranged relationship with her father.
