Young Stunna Bags International Nomination. Young Stunna is a versatile fast-rising Amapiano singer and songwriter from South Africa. He was born on 17th November 1997 in Daveyton in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality of Gauteng in South Africa. He grew up in a Christian background where church services were held at their home every Sunday, this developed the interest in him to join the choir where he explored his musical talent.

Young Stunna has bagged himself an International nomination and he can not be more excited. The star has been announced as one of this year’s international BET Award nominees under the viewer’s choice category Best New International Act alongside Nigeria’s Ayra Starr and Pheelz yesterday.Stunna shared the news through his Instagram as he thank his mom and his fans that continue to support him in his newly found superstardom and musical career. BET Amplified is BET Music’s stamp of approval on the next big thing in music. Yesterday, the Black Entertainment Television awards announced him as a viewer’s choice award nominee under the Best New Internation Act category.

Coming from Daveyton, Young Stunna said it was tough for him to break into the industry. “It’s the hardest thing when you’re not focused and don’t know your story. It takes a lot of self-discipline and staying at home to avoid a lot of things. I only left home to go perform because I wanted to stay away from a lot of wrong things. I made it by going out and showing love to the people I’d meet when performing. I’m a humble being and a respectful person, so that’s how I made connections with people. When you respect people wherever you go, they get to love you and actually want to work with you,” he said.

He has worked with multiple artists despite having been in the industry for a short period of time. “As a newcomer, I look up to these people and I always want to learn so much from them. I always listen to their advice and what they have to say. The experience has been amazing. Getting to work with them means more to me than just recording in studio with them. They show me respect and guide me on a lot of things. Once again, I regard that as a blessing because I’ve never imagined it all happening in such a short space of time.”
