Bontle Smith began singing at the age of 12, and she had already secured a spot to perform music in the church. Bontle joined Currents of Blackness, an up-to-date singing group while attending the University of Johannesburg. However, it wasn’t until 2010 that she collaborated with Dj Giggs on her first song, ‘Lose Yourself in the Music.’ Bontle proceeded to shatter barriers to get to the point where she was a sought-after hip-hop artist who was included in one of Casper Nyovest’s singles, ‘Gets Getsa 2.0.’
