Watch! Sithelo Shozi Launches A Kids’ Clothing Line. Forever hitmaker Sithelo Shozi has been making headlines recently for sharing her 2022 plans. Back in 2018, Sithelo Shozi opened an online kiddie’s apparel store which was named after her first child, Baby Makhosini. And now – almost four years later – the DJ and influencer has decided to reopen the store and rebrand under the brand name Baby M.
Speaking about her decision to reopen the store, Sithelo says she feels that this was a perfect time. “It just felt right. It just feels like now is the right time to start doing the things that I’ve always planned to do. Although I had wanted the store to do well when I initially opened it, things didn’t go that way and now I believe that God wanted me to wait and now is the perfect time,” she said.
The mother-of-three says she’s learnt a lot of lessons as an entrepreneur. “Over the years I’ve learnt to be a lot more patient and have realised that there is no need for me to rush things. I’ve also learnt to be a lot more resilient and to work hard for the things I want. In the beginning, it’s never easy but this is where patience and striving for more comes in. This time I’ve given the store a bit of a facelift and made it a lot more luxurious. I now want to cater for special occasions. Previously, I had created all kinds of clothing including schoolwear and casual clothing but now I want to strictly focus on more luxurious clothing garments such as suits, pullovers and linen sets. I also want to make special garments for pregnant mommies,” she explained.
“When I started the brand I was still in school and had just given birth to my son so there was a lot I needed to focus on and I couldn’t give the brand my all. Now that I’m a mother-of-three I feel like I can contribute a lot to the brand and know exactly what I want. I feel that I’m a bit more wiser and a lot more focused,” she added.
Sithelo who sketches all the designs herself, says Baby M will be very special. “This range will be super exclusive because there’ll only be three items per garment and sometimes we’ll even make pieces that are one-of-one. I want the range to be super special and sentimental and to make clothes that can be passed down to many generations or just kept by parents. These are garments that your child will remember and are of high quality,” she promises.
The ‘Forever’ hit maker took to her Instagram to share a glimpse of what the store is all about. Check out the video below:
“A baby line is something I’ve always wanted to do because I’m so passionate about motherhood. I feel like my sole purpose is to be a mother and every other thing I do is just a hobby. When I was a little girl all I wanted to do was to be a mom and wouldn’t aspire to be a doctor or an accountant. So I wanted a baby store because babies are born every single day and there’ll always be a market for their clothing. Mothers want the best for their children and with everyone having access to normal retailers, my store will provide an exclusive experience for moms who want to spoil their children for special occasions,” she concluded.
