Fifi recently announced the start and launch of her record label, while dropping a new song ‘Motlogeleng’ after a while. The direct translation of Motlogeleng is “leave him alone,” which is Fifi Cooper’s order to other women who think that they will be able to achieve the love they have if they steal her boyfriend from her. The song takes on a vibrant pop beat with African adlibs that bring a traditional element to it. The cover art shows Fifi Cooper in the arms of a man, whilst dressed with beads in her hair and around her neck.
The song serves as the second single from her upcoming album, Chapter, which will be released under her independent record label, Mo Cooper Records. The song is said to be an ode to Black love and the importance of having someone treat you with love and respect, in order to contribute to your personal growth.
