Mr JazziQ Takes Legal Action Against Podcaster, Rea Gopane. Alexandra-born Tumelo Manyoni known as Mr JazziQ first emerged as one-half of South African Amapiano DJ/producer duo, JazziDisciples which released a slate of projects that found their footing on the dancefloor and on streaming platforms. Mr JazziQ is widely considered an Amapiano pioneer, both in production and A&R – through his own label, Black is Brown – and is poised to take the genre globally.

JazziQ found himself as a hot topic after podcaster and entertainer Rea Gopane made comments that put harm to his brand, claiming that he sacrificed his late friends for his career. Though he has reacted to the comments reportedly promising him hands, JazziQ has decided to take the matter to an upper level.

Mr JazziQ took to social media to share his statement that he will be taking legal action against Rea Gopane following derogatory comments he made regarding him. “Mr Manyoni’s attorneys issues a Letter of Demand to Mr Reatlegile Gopane and the hosts of Everything SA Music TV to have the comments publicly withdrawn, an apology granted and the video removed in its entirety from the Everything SA Music TV podcast on all soial media platforms. Regrettably, these demands were not adhered to, leaving Mr Manyoni with no option but to pursue the matter to finality through the legal remedies available to him,” reads the statement.

In a recent episode of his podcast with Blvck Steph, Rea suggested JazziQ is somewhat responsible for the deaths of Mpura and Killer Kau, who died in a fatal car accident in August this year. “The whole entire entertainment industry looked past the fact that JazziQ sacrificed Mpura and Killer Kau for the betterment of his career. When I saw him I felt like that Woza music video came out after everything happened. Why were Mpura and Killer Kau in the music video when they are not featured on the song? And then I’m like the day after they died, he left and went to Ghana. I’m just saying that, we’re not reading in-between the lines,” he said.
