Amapiano pioneer Njelic is preparing to close out October with a powerful collaboration after announcing his upcoming single “Confidence,” featuring fellow genre heavyweights Sam Deep and De Mthuda.
The highly anticipated single is set to arrive on Friday, 23 October 2026, bringing together three respected names from different chapters of Amapiano’s evolution.
Njelic shared the news on Instagram, unveiling the official cover artwork for “Confidence” while giving fans access to a pre-save and pre-order link through Africori. The announcement has already placed the collaboration on the radar ahead of its official release.
At the heart of “Confidence” is a message of self-belief. Njelic has described the record as music created to encourage listeners to believe in themselves, take ownership of their individual journeys and trust their own paths.
That message gives the upcoming single a personal foundation, while the collaboration itself brings together artists with distinctive approaches to the Amapiano sound.
Njelic, who was born in Soweto, has played an important role in the development of the genre’s soulful side. His distinctive vocals and gospel-influenced approach have made him a recognisable voice within Amapiano, with a career built around influential releases and collaborations.
De Mthuda brings a long-standing creative relationship with Njelic to the collaboration. The two previously worked together on the celebrated 2019 release “Shesha”, a track that arrived during Amapiano’s rapid rise and remains part of their shared musical history.
Meanwhile, Sam Deep represents another generation of Amapiano talent. Known for his deep rhythmic sound and smooth production style, he has established himself as one of the genre’s prominent contemporary producers and artists.
The combination of Njelic, De Mthuda and Sam Deep makes “Confidence” a meeting point between experience, soulful influence and modern Amapiano production.
The single also arrives during an active period for Njelic, who has maintained a steady release schedule throughout 2026. Earlier this year, he released “Ungangishiyi” with Thabza Tee and Ilovelethu before returning in September with “Zola Badu” alongside McWizBeats and Mpho Spizzy.
Now, his attention turns to “Confidence”, with the 23 October release date officially marked on the calendar.
With its message of self-belief and the combined talents of three Amapiano heavyweights, “Confidence” is shaping up to be another notable addition to Njelic’s catalogue. Fans can pre-save or pre-order the single ahead of its official arrival.
