Amapiano DJ and producer Nhlanhla Fakude, popularly known as DJ Stoks, is set to make his return with a new five-track EP titled Let Love Bloom, a project centred on love, connection and a fresh approach to the Amapiano sound.
Scheduled for release on 14 October, the upcoming project brings together soulful melodies, infectious rhythms and a carefully selected group of vocalists and collaborators. Through its five tracks, DJ Stoks aims to create a musical experience that celebrates love in its different forms while showcasing his development as a producer.
“I have always had a passion for meaningful music that will leave the audience and listeners fulfilled. I started playing at clubs, where I would compile songs and play them at a local club where I used to be a resident DJ. Crowds received me very well, to a point where people in other provinces would call me to come and play at their events. In fact, my first trip to Durban was to go DJ,” said DJ Stocks.
His journey from performing at local clubs to developing his own music has played an important role in shaping his approach to production. The producer explained that while putting the EP together, he reached out to different artists he knew, eventually discovering a common thread among the vocalists.
According to DJ Stoks, the artists consistently delivered songs centred around love and spreading love. That shared message ultimately became the foundation of Let Love Bloom and the story he hopes to communicate to listeners.
Leading the project is “Lerato La MaFaratlhatlha”, a collaboration with Mel Muziq featuring Goiti Levati and Buxie. The track introduces listeners to the EP’s emotional direction, combining Amapiano’s rhythmic foundation with expressive vocals and soulful melodies.
The project also features Miglow, Mel Muziq, C-Moody, T-Drum, Bryson, Goitse Levati and Buxi, bringing different voices and creative perspectives to the five-track offering.
Rather than focusing on only one interpretation of romance, Let Love Bloom explores different sides of love, relationships and human connection. DJ Stoks uses the project to blend these themes with the rhythmic energy associated with Amapiano while maintaining his own production identity.
At its heart, Let Love Bloom is a celebration of love expressed through rhythm, melody and collaboration. It also represents another chapter in DJ Stocks’ musical journey, connecting his experiences as a DJ with his creative work as a producer.
With its October release approaching, fans will soon be able to experience the full five-track project. Let Love Bloom will be available across all major digital platforms from 14 October.
