The Amapiano entertainer kicks off his solo journey with a new single. After years of bringing his energy to notable Amapiano records and stages, Uncool MC is stepping further into his own sound with “Setla,” released Friday, 4 September 2026 with gamma.
Meaning “move your body” or “dance,” “Setla” marks a new chapter for Uncool MC and introduces his upcoming solo EP, set for release on 25 September 2026.
The dance-driven track brings together Uncool MC with DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, Ntsako XVI and Shaun 101, combining a strong Amapiano line-up with the energetic style Uncool MC has become known for.
Uncool MC has spent the past few years building his name as an MC and collaborator, featuring on records including “Bula Nthweo” with DJ Maphorisa, Vetkoek and Mahoota, “Sela” by Cyfred and DBN GOGO, and “oTsotsi” by Kwenyama Brothers. He has also performed at major events including Cotton Fest, Piano People, Afro Nation and Fact Durban Rocks, further establishing his presence on stages in South Africa and beyond.
Now, with “Setla,” he is bringing that experience into his own music.
