Amapiano star Toss has set his sights high for his joint EP with Nadia Nakai, Do’s & Don’ts, revealing that he hopes the project will achieve double or even triple platinum status while becoming a classic in the years ahead.
The rapper shared his ambitious expectations during a recent interview when he was asked what he hopes the collaborative project will accomplish over the next two years.
“In this EP? Yeah. I expect it to be probably double, double or triple platinum by then. Yeah. Expect people to really resonate with it, and I expect it to be a classic by then. Yeah,” Toss said.
Titled Do’s & Don’ts, the six-track EP was released on 18 September 2026 and brings together Toss’ Amapiano sound with Nadia Nakai’s established hip-hop influence. The project explores different aspects of relationships, including attraction, loyalty, conflict, heartbreak and the expectations that come with romantic connections.
The EP features several notable collaborations, with Nkosazana Daughter appearing on “Blind”, a track Toss has connected to the first time he met Nadia Nakai. Sino Msolo and Sizwe Alakine also contribute to the project, adding further musical voices to the collaboration.
Beyond the music itself, Do’s & Don’ts has attracted considerable attention because of the public dynamic between Toss and Nadia Nakai. Their appearances together and the chemistry surrounding their collaboration have prompted ongoing discussion among fans, while the pair have continued to channel that attention into their music.
Toss has previously described the project as a story about two people from different worlds who ultimately share similar goals when it comes to relationships. Nadia Nakai has also highlighted communication, honesty and loyalty as important elements in building meaningful relationships.
For Toss, the ambitious prediction comes after his continued rise in the Amapiano scene. The Tsakane-born artist first gained widespread attention following the viral success of “uMlando” in 2022 and has since continued building his profile while expressing ambitions of reaching audiences beyond South Africa.
The collaboration also creates an intersection between Amapiano and South African hip-hop, bringing together Toss’ sound with Nadia Nakai’s established catalogue and influence within the rap scene.
Whether Do’s & Don’ts reaches the double or triple platinum milestones Toss has predicted will depend on its performance over time. For now, the artist has made his expectations clear: he wants the project to connect with listeners, stand the test of time and eventually be remembered as a classic.
