Major League DJz, the popular South African twin duo known for their electrifying sets and signature Amapiano sound, have officially addressed the swirling rumors surrounding their recent weight loss. After posting a post-gym photo showcasing their noticeably slimmer physiques, the DJs faced speculation from social media users who questioned whether their transformation was due to weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.
In response, the duo shut down the claims and chose to open up more honestly about their health journey. Taking to social media, they introduced fans to their wellness initiative: PhatBoi Run Club — a community-focused movement redefining what it means to be a runner.
“PhatBoi Run Club is more than just a running group. It’s a movement, a celebration of every body, and a rebellion against the narrow ideals of what a runner should look like,” they wrote. “We exist to create a space where runners of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and paces can come together.”
Born from the taunts of “fat boys don’t run,” the initiative flips that narrative, encouraging inclusivity and body positivity through fitness and community.
Still, criticism persisted online. On Thursday, Major League DJz posted a flashy video in which one of the brothers jogs next to a convoy of luxury Mercedes-Benz cars. The caption read: “And to the rest of you… the non-believers… the underachievers… the tweet and deleters… Let’s goooo.”
While many fans praised the display of dedication and style, others weren’t convinced. One user commented, “After this mini video, enter into your car and then have some Ozempic,” reigniting the debate.
Despite the skepticism, the DJs received a wave of support from fans who admired their effort and transparency. “Don’t let anyone talk you down kings,” one fan wrote, while another encouraged them to “prove the naysayers wrong by sharing your workout stats.”
Major League DJz are turning criticism into motivation, using their platform to inspire others to pursue health and fitness on their own terms — with or without the approval of the internet.
