Jazzworx, a rising name in the South African music industry, has opened up about a deeply traumatic incident he recently experienced alongside fellow artist GL Ceejay. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jazzworx finally addressed the harrowing attack that shook their lives — one that left them emotionally and creatively devastated.
In his emotional post, Jazzworx began by acknowledging the long silence since the incident, stating, “I WANTED TO DISCUSS THIS WITH THE TEAM. EVER SINCE WE’VE BEEN ATTACKED, NOR ME & GL CEEJAY HAVE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT.”
The music producer expressed immense gratitude to the fans and supporters who continued to show love during their silence, adding, “THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO’S BEEN SENDING THEIR LOVE & TAGGING US. I’M ONLY FINDING THE COURAGE NOW TO GO BACK TO WHAT I LOVE.”
According to Jazzworx, the attackers invaded their home, violating their personal space and taking valuables that held sentimental and creative value — including their computers which contained the entire archive of their musical journey. The most heartbreaking aspect, he shared, was the loss of “memories” and “stories” stored in those machines.
“They took everything we believed to be a memory to us… our computer which had every story and journey.”
Jazzworx also addressed the speculation that the incident might have been a publicity stunt linked to their upcoming album release titled “The Most Wanted.” He made it clear that there was nothing staged about what happened.
“Funny enough, we titled this album ‘The Most Wanted’ — one would now think this was a stunt, because we are about to drop an album. No, it wasn’t a stunt.”
He ended the post with a sobering reflection about safety, stating: “It’s so sad that even in your home, you’re not safe.”
The revelation has sparked an outpouring of support from fans, fellow artists, and industry peers who praised Jazzworx’s bravery for speaking out. Many also expressed outrage at the violation and encouraged the duo to continue their journey despite the traumatic setback.
Jazzworx’s story serves as a stark reminder of the personal battles artists often face behind the scenes. As he prepares to release “The Most Wanted”, the album now carries a deeper emotional resonance — born from pain, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to his craft.
