Amapiano producer Stixx has come to the defense of fellow artist Kelvin Momo after critics claimed that the recent Red Bull Symphonic show didn’t live up to expectations. The performance, which ran across three nights and showcased the fusion of Amapiano and orchestral music, drew mixed reviews online — but Stixx isn’t letting the negativity slide.

Taking to Twitter (X), Stixx made his opinion loud and clear, tweeting:

“Lmao no matter what they can say, Momo’s Red Bull Symphonic was amazing eh 😭. From the production, the way the music was arranged & the performances—everything was too dope.”

The tweet quickly gained traction among Amapiano fans, sparking a wider debate around how experimental shows like Red Bull Symphonic are received in South Africa’s evolving music landscape. Stixx, known for his collaboration on the Kings of Kwapi project with Sam Deep and Nvcho, is becoming just as recognized for his bold opinions as he is for his production work.

Kelvin Momo’s Red Bull Symphonic show was a groundbreaking attempt at blending live orchestration with Amapiano’s signature groove. While many praised the artist’s ambition and the quality of the musical arrangements, some critics online suggested that the show fell short of their expectations — citing technical glitches or audience energy as points of critique.

But for Stixx, it was an unforgettable experience. He highlighted the production quality, musical direction, and emotional delivery as key wins for the performance. His tweet resonated with fans who attended the show, many of whom chimed in to agree and dismiss the criticism as unfair or overly harsh.

Adding to the drama and emotion of the event, Kelvin Momo famously closed the show with a surprise onstage moment alongside Babalwa M, further stirring conversation and headlines.

While critics may be divided, one thing is certain: the conversation around Red Bull Symphonic has only amplified Kelvin Momo’s impact—and with Stixx in his corner, that legacy is being strongly protected.

Lmao no matter what they can say ,momo’s red bull symphonic was amazing eh 😭
