Amapiano star Scotts Maphuma is trending once again—this time not just for his music, but for the swirling allegations surrounding his attitude toward fans and fellow artists. The rising hitmaker has finally broken his silence, addressing claims that he is rude and unapproachable.

During a recent Instagram Live session with fellow artist Shabba, Scotts Maphuma opened up about how he feels about the growing narrative around his perceived attitude.

“People have taken their side. To people, I’m a person who has an attitude, and I’m a person who is rude… and it is what it is, there’s nothing I can do. People hate you for nothing, and you wonder why, but there’s nothing you can do,” Scotts said.

His honest and unfiltered response has sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans showed support, saying that being misunderstood comes with the price of fame, while others believe the artist should reflect on how he interacts with the public.

Scotts Maphuma made it clear that he believes much of the criticism comes from people forming opinions without truly knowing him. He noted that in an industry where image and perception are everything, false narratives can spread fast—and sometimes, there’s little one can do to stop them.

Despite the backlash, Scotts has remained focused on his music. Known for delivering bangers and being one of the hottest names in Amapiano right now, his talent continues to shine through the controversy. His hit tracks are dominating streaming platforms and dancefloors alike, proving that he still has the public’s ear—even if not always their favor.

As the debate continues, one thing is clear: Scotts Maphuma is not letting the noise distract him from his purpose. Whether misunderstood or misrepresented, he remains focused on elevating his artistry and building a lasting legacy in the Amapiano scene.
