Amapiano heavyweight Kelvin Momo has once again showcased his production prowess, this time with a remix of Kabza De Small’s song, “Impi Ye Mpilo.” The preview, which he shared on social media, has sparked a wave of mixed reactions, with some praising his consistency while others debate whether the original should have been left untouched.

Kelvin Momo, known for his deep, soulful Amapiano sound, has solidified himself as one of the most hardworking producers in the industry. Coming off the success of two critically acclaimed albums in 2024, including his most recent project “Ntsako”, Momo is already back in the studio, proving his dedication to evolving the genre.

Originally a collaboration between Ezra, Disciples of House, Kabza De Small, and Nkosazana Daughter, “Impi Ye Mpilo” was a hit that resonated deeply with Amapiano lovers. Kelvin Momo decided to put his spin on the song, infusing his signature private school Amapiano style—characterized by mellow keys, deep grooves, and emotional undertones.

Taking to social media, Momo posted a snippet of his remix along with the caption:
“Impi Ye Mpilo (Kelvin Momo Remix).”

This unexpected release immediately had fans and critics buzzing, with some applauding Momo’s ability to breathe new life into the track, while others felt the original should remain untouched.

The Amapiano community is divided over the remix. Some fans believe that Kelvin Momo’s touch elevates the track, adding a new layer of depth and musicality. Others, however, feel that Kabza De Small’s original version was already a masterpiece and didn’t need a remix.

One fan commented, “Kelvin Momo never misses! He knows how to create timeless music.”

Another disagreed, saying, “Kabza’s version was perfect. Some songs don’t need a remix.”

Despite the debate, it’s undeniable that Kelvin Momo’s work continues to push Amapiano’s boundaries, solidifying his status as a top-tier producer.

With his latest remix generating buzz, many are now wondering if Momo is gearing up for another major release. Whether his “Impi Ye Mpilo” remix becomes a fan favorite or not, one thing is clear—Kelvin Momo is here to stay, shaping the future of Amapiano one track at a time.
