South African duo Titom & Yuppe continue to dominate the music industry, securing a major win at the 2025 Trace Awards in Zanzibar. Their chart-topping hit ‘Tshwala Bam’ was crowned ‘Song of the Year’, solidifying their position as one of the biggest acts in the Amapiano genre.

‘Tshwala Bam’ became an instant sensation, igniting dance floors worldwide with its infectious beat and high-energy rhythm. The song’s massive success led to a remix featuring Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, further elevating its global appeal. The track not only dominated streaming platforms, but also became a viral sensation on social media, inspiring countless dance challenges and trends.

The 2025 Trace Awards, held on February 26 in Zanzibar, celebrated the incredible achievements of African artists, producers, and performers. This year’s edition showcased Africa’s growing global influence, with genres like Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afro-house taking center stage.

Titom & Yuppe’s victory was met with massive applause, as fans and fellow artists praised their contribution to the music scene. Their ability to craft anthemic Amapiano hits has not only made them local superstars but also global ambassadors for the genre.

With this monumental achievement, Titom & Yuppe are expected to keep pushing boundaries and releasing more chart-topping hits.

This ‘Song of the Year’ win is not just a victory for Titom & Yuppe, but also for Amapiano as a whole, as the genre continues to captivate audiences across the world.
