Scotts Maphuma, one of the most promising talents in the music industry, has shared an intriguing behind-the-scenes account of how the hit song “Wishi Wishi” came to life. The track, featuring heavyweights like Kabza De Small, Vigro Deep, DJ Maphorisa, Young Stunna, and Scotts himself, has become a fan favorite, showcasing the magic of collaboration and raw talent.

In an exclusive interview with Sony Music, Scotts Maphuma opened up about the unexpected turn of events that led to his involvement in the song. “What happened that day was really exciting,” he began. “I wasn’t even ready to go to the studio. Felo Le Tee literally dragged me by the neck and said, ‘Hey bro, you have to go to Papta today.’”

Scotts recalled arriving at Kabza De Small’s studio, a space known for its vibrant creativity and non-stop production energy. “When I got there, they were already working, as you’d expect in Kabza’s studio. I waited around until Kabza mentioned a special beat he wanted me to jump on. He played it, and I thought, ‘This is different from what I’m used to.’ But I love a challenge, so I decided to dive in.”

The artist described how he was left alone in the studio, where he recorded his part, fully embracing the challenge. “They trusted me to handle everything on my own. Once I started, the rest was history.”

“Wishi Wishi” stands out as a quintessential Amapiano track, blending the unique styles of each featured artist. Kabza De Small’s production expertise, Vigro Deep’s signature grooves, DJ Maphorisa’s seasoned touch, and Young Stunna’s dynamic vocals all contributed to its success. Scotts Maphuma’s undeniable talent brought an additional layer of freshness to the track, helping it resonate with audiences.

As 2025 unfolds, fans can expect even more from Scotts Maphuma, who is quickly establishing himself as a rising star in the music scene. If “Wishi Wishi” is anything to go by, the future looks incredibly bright for this talented artist.
