South African Amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles has voiced her disappointment after a chaotic event in Kenya left her and her fans feeling let down. The artist, known for her electrifying performances, took to her Instagram stories to address the mishandling by the organizers and security at the event, For the Love of Amapiano.

The much-anticipated event, attended by over 10,000 fans, turned sour due to numerous logistical and safety issues. Uncle Waffles, who had been looking forward to performing in Kenya, shared her frustration, writing:

“From sound issues even before my performance to my team being mishandled, this wasn’t something I expected at all. What has disappointed me most though is how my Kenyan supporters were treated by the organizers and security at the event—people were pushed around, mishandled, and treated with the least amount of care, and that is something I will not stand for.”

Uncle Waffles, whose global rise has been fueled by her dynamic sets and connection with fans, emphasized the importance of prioritizing the safety and well-being of attendees. Witnessing fans being pushed and mistreated during the event was a breaking point for her, leading her to cut her performance short.

“I could not play my set any longer while people were visibly uncomfortable and at risk of getting hurt,” she stated.

Her decision to stop performing reflected her commitment to her audience, putting their safety above all else.

Uncle Waffles also directed her disappointment at the event organizers, urging them to improve their planning and execution:

“To the event organizers, you have not only disappointed me but you have also let down the 10,000+ people who came out in support of this event. I urge you to do better if you have any desire to continue putting events together in the future.”

Despite the ordeal, Uncle Waffles ended her statement on a hopeful note, expressing her love for her Kenyan fans and her desire to return under better circumstances. “Kenya I hope to see you again soonwith much better outcome, I LOVE YOU GUYS SM!

Uncle Waffles’ unwavering support for her audience has further cemented her reputation as an artist who values her fans above all else.
