Oscar Mbo is facing backlash after being involved in a stage drama at the Macufe Festival in Bloemfontein over the weekend. The incident occurred during Makhadzi’s performance, which was abruptly cut short, leaving the popular singer frustrated and prompting her to voice her displeasure on social media. Makhadzi, who is known for her high-energy performances, was reportedly only able to perform for 20 minutes before being forced off stage.

Taking to social media, Makhadzi expressed her anger and disappointment, suggesting that the incident may have been linked to a public relations stunt involving Oscar Mbo. She accused the DJ’s team of deliberately sabotaging her performance, claiming that Oscar Mbo’s DJ removed her USB from the equipment while she was performing, effectively ending her set. This action left her unable to continue performing for the crowd that had gathered to see her.

“Bloemfontein Macufe, I’m sorry to perform 20 minutes,” Makhadzi shared in her social media post. “I don’t know if this is all about Oscar Mbo’s PR trend, but why in such crazy moments, when people paid their money to see us? Unfortunately, Oscar Mbo’s DJ removed my USB when I was about to finish. … awwa bafana raorata, but don’t do that please. PR can be done without hurting others.”

Her statement shows the frustration of being cut short during a major festival appearance, especially considering that fans had paid to watch a full performance. The abrupt end to her set not only disappointed her but also left her audience short-changed.

The incident has sparked conversations online, with many fans and fellow artists criticizing the actions of Oscar Mbo’s team. Some have questioned whether it was indeed part of a PR strategy, while others have demanded an explanation and apology from the DJ.

The Macufe Festival, which draws crowds from all over South Africa, is known for hosting some of the country’s biggest acts. However, this recent controversy has cast a shadow over the event, with fans calling for more respect for artists and their performances.
