Rising Amapiano star Muziqal Tone, whose real name is Muzi Selepe, is making waves in the South African music scene with the release of his highly anticipated EP, Vukani. Since emerging in 2020 as a promising talent with Simnandi Records, Muziqal Tone has been captivating audiences, and now, with Vukani, he’s ready to cement his position as a force in the genre.

The new EP showcases an impressive roster of collaborations, featuring industry heavyweights like LeeMcKrazy, Amu Classic, Kappie, Vyno Keys, Macassette, Shakaman YKTV, Mkeys, and Gator Groove. This vibrant line-up of artists creates a dynamic sound that has been generating buzz across social media, especially on platforms like TikTok, where tracks from the EP have already started making waves.

Born and raised in Orlando East, Soweto, Muziqal Tone is no stranger to the challenges of breaking into the music industry. His journey has been marked by passion and perseverance, and he remains dedicated to honing his craft. Reflecting on his musical path, he spoke to TshisaLive and shared how ‘Vukani’ is a testament to his growth and determination. “Breaking into the scene wasn’t easy,” he admits, “but I’ve learned to navigate the industry while staying true to my sound and collaborating with like-minded artists. This EP embodies my evolution.”

The process of creating Vukani was a collaborative one, with each artist bringing their unique energy and style to the table. “It was an organic process,” Muziqal Tone explains. “I reached out to artists whose energy and style resonated with mine. We shared ideas, experimented, and created something special together. The collaboration was seamless, with each artist bringing unique perspectives to the project.”

Muziqal Tone hopes that listeners will connect with the authenticity and passion embedded in the music. He sees Vukani not just as a collection of tracks, but as a bold statement that positions him for future growth and innovation in the Amapiano scene. “I hope listeners take away the authenticity and passion I poured into Vukani. I see this EP establishing me as a force in Amapiano, paving the way for future collaborations and innovation. My goal is to continuously push boundaries and inspire others through my music.”

With his talent and vision, Muziqal Tone is poised to keep pushing the envelope in the Amapiano genre and beyond, signaling that his journey is only just beginning.
