Recent allegations have surfaced suggesting that the popular PianoHub Bar and Club in Soweto, which is widely associated with Amapiano king Kabza De Small, is actually owned by the same individuals who once operated the now-defunct Konka Soweto. The claims have sparked controversy, with suggestions that Kabza De Small is merely a front for the real owners who are using the establishment for questionable purposes.
The allegations were brought to light by controversial social media personality Musa Khawula, who took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to share the claims. In his post, Khawula alleged that the real owners of PianoHub Soweto are the same shareholders who owned Konka Soweto. He further alleged that both Konka and PianoHub were being used as fronts to launder money.
“We are learning that the owners behind Konka Soweto are the very same owners or stakeholders behind Kabza De Small’s PianoHub Soweto. Konka Soweto had been used as a front to launder money, and Kabza De Small’s PianoHub Soweto was acquired for the very same reason. Basically, Kabza De Small’s PianoHub Soweto is a revamped version of Konka Soweto,” Khawula tweeted.
PianoHub Soweto was launched just a few months ago, and it quickly became one of the hottest nightlife destinations in the neighborhood. Known for its premium services, a wide selection of fine wines, talented dancers, and live performances by some of South Africa’s top musicians, the establishment has managed to fill the void left by Konka Soweto’s closure. Despite its success, these recent allegations have cast a shadow over its reputation.
Konka Soweto was previously one of the most popular premium bars and clubs in Soweto before it shut down. The establishment was known for its lavish parties and attracting celebrities, but rumors about financial irregularities and money laundering have always swirled around it. With the resurfacing of these claims tied to PianoHub, many are now questioning the true ownership and purpose behind the popular bar.
The accusations have sparked debate within the entertainment community, with some fans dismissing the claims as baseless rumors while others demand transparency regarding the ownership of PianoHub. The Amapiano star has continued to perform and promote the bar as usual, maintaining his public association with the venue.
