Rising star LeeMcKrazy has opened up about the inspiration behind his poignant verse on the hit song “Kwelanga 2.0,” a track by Bassie featuring M-Touch, Ranger, Amaza, Tman Express, and himself. In a heartfelt Instagram post, LeeMcKrazy shared the personal experiences and emotions that fueled his contribution to the song, shedding light on the meaning behind his words.

“Kwelanga” is a deeply introspective song that resonates with listeners who have faced challenges and uncertainty in life. LeeMcKrazy explained, “Kwelanga basically means that, you know, when things don’t work out for you. I found myself in that place where, at the same time, things are working out, but it’s just that portion between things working out and not working out.”

He went on to describe the emotional turmoil of navigating a situation where progress feels both within reach and elusive. “So you don’t understand how to feel; things are happening but they are not happening. That means the sun is setting,” he said, using the metaphor of a setting sun to convey the tension between hope and despair.

LeeMcKrazy’s verse reflects the complexities of life’s journey, where initial success can give way to unforeseen challenges. “When I started everything, it was smooth, it was nice,” he recalled. “Then as time went by, I was suffering without anyone knowing, so I had no one to tell my story about what’s happening.”

This sense of isolation and struggle deeply influenced his writing process for “Kwelanga 2.0.” He found a profound connection between his personal experiences and the song’s overarching theme, which Bassie originally brought to life. “Bassie came with this song that shares the same emotion, where we are trying but things are not working out in other ways,” LeeMcKrazy said. “In other words, the song just related to my story, and I think Tman also felt the same.”

Through his verse, LeeMcKrazy brought authenticity and vulnerability to the track, making it a powerful anthem for those navigating life’s ups and downs. His words resonate with anyone who has faced obstacles and persevered, even when the path forward seemed uncertain. By sharing his story, LeeMcKrazy has given fans a glimpse into the emotional depths that inspire his music, reinforcing his place as a rising force in the Amapiano scene.
