DJ Maphorisa has once again sparked controversy, this time for removing Samthing Soweto’s vocals from the track Amalanga Awafani. The conflict between the two Amapiano heavyweights has escalated, with Maphorisa’s decision causing a stir on social media.

The song, featured on Mas Musiq’s recently released album, initially included vocals from Samthing Soweto. However, fans were shocked to find that Samthing’s contribution had been entirely replaced by TO Starquality and Chley. The decision to remove his vocals seems to be a direct response to the ongoing tension between the two artists, which has been playing out online for months.

The dispute between DJ Maphorisa and Samthing Soweto centers around allegations of exploitation and unfair treatment. Samthing Soweto has publicly accused Maphorisa of financial exploitation and withholding royalties. These claims have only intensified as the feud continues to unfold, with both artists airing grievances on social media.

A Twitter user, @PovertykillerB, highlighted the latest development, noting the vocal change on Amalanga Awafani and calling out Maphorisa for his actions. The post read, “Mas Musiq and DJ Maphorisa removed Samthing Soweto’s vocals from Amalanga song. Wake up, Mzansi, they replaced him with TO Starquality and Chley. Oh, shame, DJ Maphorisa is evil. The song doesn’t even sound the same anymore, all because of greed.”

This latest move has drawn mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing disappointment over the changes, stating that the song has lost its original charm without Samthing Soweto’s soulful vocals. Others have defended Maphorisa, citing the ongoing tension as a reason for the alteration and claiming that the producer has a right to manage the project as he sees fit.

The removal of Samthing Soweto’s vocals has only fueled the drama between the two, adding more complexity to an already heated situation. While some fans are taking sides, others are simply hoping for a resolution that allows both artists to focus on their music.

As the feud between DJ Maphorisa and Samthing Soweto continues to evolve, it remains to be seen whether the two will ever reconcile or if this is the final chapter in their working relationship. For now, the altered version of Amalanga Awafani stands as a symbol of their ongoing dispute.
