In the music industry, rumors and gossip are as inevitable as the beats that drive the tracks. Amapiano sensation Tyler ICU, who has been making waves recently, finds himself at the center of the latest controversy. Whispers and speculations have emerged, suggesting that he is being exploited by the well-known DJ Maphorisa. However, Tyler ICU has come forward to set the record straight.

The controversy began when a featured artist on Tyler ICU’s hit single “Manzi Nte” revealed in a podcast that DJ Maphorisa’s only contribution to the track was his dance moves. According to the artist, Maphorisa had no involvement in the production process. This revelation sparked outrage among fans, who accused DJ Maphorisa of exploiting young artists and taking credit for work he had little to do with.

In response to the backlash, Tyler ICU addressed the rumors directly on social media. “Y’all are crazy for thinking DJ Maphorisa is milking me. I don’t remember him being homosexual. Please stop talking nonsense,” he posted, aiming to quash the unfounded claims. His statement underscores his frustration with the persistent gossip and his desire to clarify his working relationship with DJ Maphorisa.

Despite the controversy, “Manzi Nte,” which also features Masterpiece YVK, MJ, Al Xapo, Ceeka RSA, and Silas Africa, continues to dominate the charts. The track has amassed over 2 million streams in less than a month since its release, proving that the music speaks for itself regardless of the surrounding noise..

The relationship between Tyler ICU and DJ Maphorisa highlights the collaborative nature of the Amapiano genre, where multiple artists often come together to create hits. Tyler ICU’s public defense of Maphorisa not only clears the air but also reaffirms the mutual respect and creative synergy between them.

In the ever-evolving landscape of South African music, artists like Tyler ICU and DJ Maphorisa continue to push boundaries and deliver tracks that resonate with audiences. While rumors may swirl, their focus remains on creating music that inspires and entertains.
