Fresh off their Metro FM Best Viral Challenge award win, TitoM and Yuppe have once again captured the music world’s attention. The duo, who achieved unprecedented success with their track “Tshwala Bam,” recently released a highly-anticipated remix featuring the globally renowned Burna Boy.

TitoM expressed their excitement about the collaboration, stating, “To surpass the success of the original, we sought a collaborator with both global appeal and a commitment to enhancing the song’s original vibe. Burna Boy was the perfect fit.” This strategic move aimed to amplify the track’s infectious energy and reach an even broader audience.

Yuppe echoed these sentiments, adding, “Working with Burna Boy was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating. He was accommodating and ensured a comfortable collaborative environment.” This collaboration brought together the innovative sounds of TitoM and Yuppe with Burna Boy’s signature flair, resulting in a remix that is already generating significant buzz.

The remix’s release marks a new chapter for “Tshwala Bam,” a track that has already captivated audiences worldwide. Initially released on February 23rd, the song, along with its accompanying dance challenge, amassed an unprecedented 11.5 billion TikTok views and over 100 million streams across various digital service providers. Its popularity is further evidenced by its domination of global charts, including a peak at #9 on the Global Shazam charts and top positions on Spotify Viral charts in multiple countries.

Burna Boy, known for his ability to elevate tracks through his remixes, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Jumping on the ‘Tshwala Bam’ remix was a no-brainer for me. It’s a track that resonates with everyone, and I’m thrilled to bring my energy to it and connect with fans in a whole new way.” His contributions to the remix have been highly anticipated, following his successful remixes of other hits like Master KG’s “Jerusalema” and Asake’s “Sungba.”

The music video for the remix, filmed in Lagos, Nigeria, and directed by The Alien, promises to be a visual feast that complements the song’s vibrant energy. The choice of Lagos as the filming location underscores the global and cultural connections that the remix embodies.

“Tshwala Bam” has not only dominated the airwaves but has also inspired a viral dance challenge that has been embraced by fans and celebrities alike. Notable figures such as Tyla, Kai Cenat, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Jayda Wayda, Shenseea, Saucy Santana, Poco Lee, and Kamo Mphela have all participated, further propelling the song’s popularity. As the largest Amapiano record of 2024, “Tshwala Bam” is on the path to becoming the largest Amapiano record of all time, celebrating the genre’s limitless potential.

In a significant milestone, “Tshwala Bam” became the first South African song in three years to hit #1 on Apple Music in Nigeria. This achievement highlights the track’s broad appeal and the growing influence of Amapiano on the global music scene.

With the release of the Burna Boy-assisted remix, TitoM and Yuppe are now gearing up for a European tour to promote the track further. This tour aims to cement the song’s global domination and introduce even more listeners to the infectious rhythms of “Tshwala Bam.”

In summary, the collaboration with Burna Boy has not only revitalized an already successful track but has also underscored the power of musical synergy. As TitoM, Yuppe, and Burna Boy continue to ride the wave of success, “Tshwala Bam” stands as a testament to the talent and creativity driving the Amapiano genre forward.
