In an impressive milestone, the amapiano song “Izenzo” by Bassie and Aymos, featuring T-Man SA, has reached 20 million views since its release on August 25, 2023. This achievement solidifies Aymos’ position as a leading figure in the amapiano genre.

Aymos’ rise to fame began with his humble beginnings as a backing vocalist and session pianist. He gained recognition after collaborating with prominent artists such as Samthing Soweto, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small on the groundbreaking track “Emcimbini”, which peaked at number 2 on Spotify’s top 5 tracks streamed in South Africa in 2020.

Aymos has since become a sought-after artist, featuring on hits like “Isegazini” alongside Moonchild Sanelly and Theology HD. He has also made significant contributions to the Mas Musiq-produced Shonamalanga EP and Mambisa II. His talent has even extended to soundtracking the Netflix Original series “How to Ruin Christmas” and earning two SAMA nominations for Best Amapiano Album and Duo of the Year in 2020.

Aymos’ music has captivated the country with his inspiring and versatile tones, which have transcended the amapiano genre and explored afro-jazz, soul, house, and afrotech. His success with “Izenzo” is a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft. As he continues to produce hits, fans eagerly anticipate what’s next for this amapiano royalty.
