Amapiano music has found a vibrant home in the United Kingdom, where local talents like Soa Mattrix have been making waves with their unique sound. Recently, Soa Mattrix embarked on a tour of the UK, an experience that provided him with international exposure and unforgettable memories.
Reflecting on his UK tour, Soa expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming reception he received. He remarked, “We are grateful for how well everything went this year. I was fortunate to represent my country and people from less privileged areas.” He highlighted the unexpected love and support he received from UK fans, emphasizing the joy of seeing 10,000 people singing along to his hit song, “Mina Nawe.”
The tour, meticulously planned, spanned from November 2023 to February 2024, during which Soa performed at prominent venues such as Carnival in Leicester and various shows in Birmingham and North London, including Amafest and AfroPiano. He also had the honor of being interviewed by the BBC, further amplifying his reach.

Perhaps you are unaware, but Soa has collaborated a lot with the legendary American R&B singer Usher. “In February, Usher Raymond published the amapiano remix ‘Soa Mattrix Remix’ of a song from his latest album, Coming Home. I also contributed to Usher’s 2024 single ‘Ruin’ which was a true honour.”
Despite his international achievements, Soa remains grounded and focused on his craft. He recently launched his record label, Soa Family, and is gearing up to release his highly anticipated album, “Akani.” Additionally, he is collaborating with a diverse range of artists, including Cnethemba Gonelo, Frank Mabeat, and Tribal Soul, among others.
