Multi award-winning South African music duo, Major League DJz, continues to shift the culture and move the needle with their international pursuits. Fast becoming the go-to DJs for official remixes on the continent, the renowned DJs now boast an impressive discography with some of the world’s top artists, and they are just getting started.
This past December saw the duo land the official remix to Ciara and Chris Brown’s “How We Roll”, last month they secured the official release day remix of Usher’s “Ruin” with Pheelz, last week they released the official remix of global chart topper “Mwaki” by Brazilian trailblazing music producer ZERB featuring Sofiya Nzau, and today, Friday, 8 March 2024, sees the duo release the official remix of the African Giant Burna Boy’s smash hit single, “Tested, Approved & Trusted”.
“It’s humbling to be in a position where some of the biggest names in the music industry reach out and ask us to release official remixes for their priority tracks. We’re excited to be at the forefront of music remixes from Africa giving us the opportunity to further entrench African dance music to the world, we don’t take these opportunities lightly,” shares Major League DJz.
Breaking ground internationally with their discography, Major League DJz haven’t lost sight of their home base where they continue to dominate charts, airwaves and dancefloors, as is seen with their summer banger “Margret” with rising Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper, Victony, which has been a Top #10 track in the country for weeks. Continuing to feed the culture, the duo today has released a new Balcony Mix Africa single “Woza Nawe” with Eemoh and Murumba Pitch ahead of their 2024 debut Balcony Mix Africa event series next weekend.
