The much-anticipated album “Isidalo” by Murumba Pitch has officially hit the airwaves, with two singles “Umoya” and “Ewallet” that have already dropped setting the tone for the whole body of work.
Murumba Pitch have gained extensive recognition for their exceptional talents in the Amapiano music genre. Their unique sound and infectious beats have taken the continent by storm and propelled them to the forefront of the music scene. The duo’s contributions have been instrumental in propagating Amapiano music and establishing its presence worldwide.
The album opens with the title track “Isidalo” which serves as a reflection of the duos journey surfaced by humble beginnings and gratitude. The duo has infused diverse rudiments into every song including incredible collaborators with different approaches.
It’s one of the best amapiano full-length album to emerge from an unpredictable time for the genre. Murumba Pitch have been consistent in their musical fruition, their potent compositions combined with harmonious vocals create a cherished experience for their audience offering up works that celebrate the genre for what it was made to do: expressing South African tones and textures that reach back decades into the country’s musical history of Soul, Jazz, and Kwaito.
“Life is not easy” the colorful and rich “Emhlabeni” track which features Sjava, Shakes & Les, encourages one to be cheerful and forget about earthly things. Through its instrumental roots adorned with a mellow guitar and soothing Saxophone; the progressive percussion and classic vocals make this a masterpiece.
This project is love grounded which makes it perfect for its arrival now that we are in the month of love, “Ethembeni” with Mhaw and the flourishing vocals of Nkosazana Daughter & Lioness Ratang make this body of work sincere and substantial.
Freeing an immaculate “Ngithembe” soundtrack, the mission would be incomplete without the elegance of Omit ST, who graces the project more than once. Showing off their always incredible chemistry, the duo invited vocalist Dinky Kunene and Buhle Sax (who snatched hearts on “eWallet” with Mthunzi).
The work progresses with Aymos & Em-one also on “Balansas” (they voiced out some of the issues that most people face today which are trust, pride and ego, the top-notch groove drives the message in style.
The melodic Mhaw Key pulled through with the moody and compelling “Isibongo” with the marvellous Boohle, who’s ready to be taken by the significant other.
The project is also coloured by amazing artists who have brought captivating performances such as Nokwazi, Daliwonga, Kelvin Momo, Afrotraction, Sipho Magudulela, KLY, Mawhoo, HappyJazzman, Sir Trill, Nobuhle, Frank Mabeat, Nomfundo Moh, Oscar Mbo, Sam Deep, Legendary P, Yumbs and Pcee.
