The 29th Annual South African Music Awards is the 29th ceremony of the South African Music Awards. The ceremony was aired live on SABC 1 on November 18, 2023 hosted by DJ Sabby and Nomalanga Shozi at SunBet Arena. Nominees were announced on October 3, 2023, live on YouTube.
Kabza De Small bagged the most win with four awards in the Best Duo/Group of The Year award alongside DJ Maphorisa, Best Produced Album, Best Amapiano Album and Best Kwaito Album.

Amapiano sensation Myztro was named Newcomer of the Year for ‘2.0 Nkwari’ while Makhadzi won Best Traditional Album for African Queen 2.0. Mörda cemented his brand as a solo artist and a true performer, winning Best Dance Album and Remix of the Year for ‘Ndinovalo’ jointly with Yallunder. Lloyiso’s Seasons won him Best Pop Album.
