Toss & Maglera Doe Boy Working On A Collaboration Together.Born, Tokelo Moyakhe, Maglera Doe Boy is a rapper from South Africa. He was raised in the Kanana township near Klerksdorp. He made a strong impression with his 2015 debut EP Progression, which was named as one of Hype Magazine’s top 5 underrated mixtapes and EPs.

Toss, Espiquet, Maglera Doe Boy, DJ Kaymoworld and Mondo Dusk have shared behind the scenes footage of the music video for their upcoming single, ‘Vatela’.The captivating clips and graphics of the single collaborators continue to circulate on social media, intensifying anticipation for the song’s official drop.

Maglera Doe Boy is a pioneer of the ‘strata’ genre, which means ‘the streets’. He grew up in an area heavily impacted by gang violence. His music displays a passion for rich storytelling, earning him a plethora of prominent features, such as his debut on Khuli Chana’s ‘All Hail’ featuring Cassper Nyovest, 25K’s ‘Quarter to Six’ and Yanga Chief’s ‘Fort Hare’.

Diaspora is a body of work that explores the different facets of township life by one of South African hip-hop’s most celebrated street rappers who hails from the Klerksdorp township Kanana, which is also known as Maglera. “The real gangsters don’t rap,” Maglera Doe Boy says, “but the closest to them is their little brothers who are in the game, and actually partook in some of these illegal things. And I think it’s also a lesson because when you hear most of this music, we’re telling li’l dudes not to do it. We’re saying, ‘This is how we found our way out of it, instead of existing in it.’”
