Dlala Thukzin hits the number 1 spot on the local YouTube,Spotify, and Apple Music charts

It is official, iPlan by Dlala Thukzin featuring Zaba and Sykes has hit the number 1 spot on the local YouTube,Spotify, and Apple Music charts.

The hit single is featured in the third installment of Dlala Thukzin’s EP series “Permanent Music” which was released on the 15th of September.

In just 2 weeks from its release, we saw “iPlan” become the top trending song on YouTube, Spotify quickly followed, and this week Apple Music was confirmed.

This is not all, TikTok has also received the song well with more than 187 million views across various PGC and UDC, gaining over 100k different videos using the official sound and the sound posted by Dlala himself.

This is an incredible achievement as it sees “iPlan” become the biggest song in South Africa currently.

In celebration of this accolade, fans can expect a music video soon that will detail the journey that the song resembles so make sure you subscribe to Dlala Thukzin on YouTube.

ABOUT DLALA THUKZIN

Thuthuka Zindlovu, was born and bred in Lamontville, a small township on the South Coast of Durban, which is synonymous for fostering surfers and lifeguards.

Passionate and a young supernova, Thukzin started pursuing his love for music at a young age, which was a result of hanging around his uncle who was a DJ.

DLALA THUKZIN He was 12 years old when he started DJing at local Durban clubs such as Havana Music Café and Joe Cools.

It was there that he met people whose passions aligned with his and they started pioneering the sound we all know as Gqom.

His music breakthrough was when he received a call from West Ink Records, requesting his expertise to co-produce Babes Wodumo’s first studio album which was a resounding success. 

In 2020 Thukzin released his First Label EP “Permanent Music” which featured DJ Tira, Joocy, GoldMax (Distruction Boyz), The EP was well received and received over 2 million streams receiving a gold plaque.
