Uncle Waffles Reveals The Number Of International Shows She Has Done This Year.Swazi-born, South African based DJ Uncle Waffles is at the forefront of propelling amapiano — a subgenre of house and South African music — to dancefloors across the world.

Uncle Waffles is excited as she announces the feat of performing at over 100 international shows this year. The year 2023 is yet to be concluded, and the Swaziland-born DJ has toured various cities across the world, pushing the Amapiano genre.

Waffles’ success has left many inspired and motivated as she bagged international recognition shortly after breaking into the limelight. From Drake to Ciara and a few others.Taking to Instagram, the DJ appreciated Canada for the warm welcome and revealed the number of shows she’s done this year.“Canada, thank you for the warm welcome! Third tour of the year in full effect, 100+ international shows this year already. Let’s finish strong babies,” she wrote.

The DJ born Lungelihle Zwane has emerged as a major figurehead for amapiano, a genre that boasts Afrobeats’ energy while infusing it with the allure of house and EDM-tinted bass drops, infectious synths, and call-outs. The new EP follows her debut, “Red Room” (2022), and its subsequent installment, “Asylum” (2023).
