5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Casswell P.We are officially in the last half of 2023 and the reign of amapiano isn’t showing any signs of losing steam. Seeing amapiano acts billed at esteemed international concerts and festivals has become less of a shocker. From Coachella to Tomorrowland, amapiano artists are making impactful strides in exporting the genre and its accompanying culture.

Pontsho Casswell Ramothwala, also known as Casswell P, is a 29-year-old producer and DJ from Lekwareng village in the Bolebedu region.

He is also an artist at Wanitwamos Entertainment. “Anything that feels good to me, I produce. It doesn’t have to be a specific genre.

He started producing music in 2010 at the age of 16, playing at local taverns in his village and surrounding villages. “I have done many things in my life, but the thing I love best and was good at, was music,” he said. “It stayed with me up to where I am now as a producer.”

He collaborated with Makhadzi on hit single ‘Vhusiwana’. “Makhadzi came to our studio while I was busy producing a beat. She immediately loved it and said that she wanted to sing on it! That’s how the song Vhusiwana came about,” Casswell P told the Herald.

His biggest single till date is titled ‘Mangihlale Naye’ featuring Master KG & Lwami.
