5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About AyaProw .Reigning from what is known as the “Mother City” Ayabulela Pakade recognised as AyaProw is a 30-year-old fierce multi-talented artist that was raised in Khayelitsha.

Here qre 5 things to know about AyaProw:

1.Growing up AYAPROW was inspired by his older brother and a local group of DJs named “SKALAZO”, as they were making waves in the Township with news of their skill and prowess with the turntables, making rounds. AYAPROW would sneak out to watch “SKALAZO” perform and listen to all the new music and thereafter would grow his own music collection and mimic “SKALAZO” behind closed doors at home.

2. AYAPROW grew his brand across many townships in Cape Town, performing at social gatherings and live concerts. His due excellent performances at such a young age earned him the name “PROFESSOR AYA” from his fans.

3. His biggest lesson over the years also include the failure to dedicate more time to his personal life.“I dedicated all my time to grinding and not spending time doing things I love outside the business, it got to a point where I would trade money for time,”

4. The album titled Value of Time released this year, was not just to bring together revellers through amapiano dance culture music, but also a compilation of lessons that AyaProw has learned over the past 10 years in his music industry and entrepreneurship journey.“I was impatient for a long time not knowing everything works out in its time. I’ve matured over the years in business and music, and I now realise that the lessons and knowledge I’ve gained can’t be bought,”

5. Ayaprow was the sound guy on MacG’s podcast and Chill podact, however was recently let go by MacG. He told Chillers and his co-hosts on Monday that Aya had been on his last warning after he had failed to deliver his work a few times, resulting in late broadcasts of some podcast episodes.“If you don’t do your job, I’ll call you out… There was a Monday when the episode was late,” MacG said.
