Phori revealed that Mjakes from Kalawa Jazmee gave him his big break and told him that he had talent that needed to be nurtured. He shares that his love for Amapiano was influenced by his travels.“I’ve travelled to different countries and got to experience different beats and dances. That has helped with my music.”

DJ Maphorisa said even though he’s making a lot of money, there’s always room for more.“Yes, I’m making a lot of money, but I believe that I can make more with the current moves that I’m making. There’s a lot of money to be made in this genre, but some artists are stuck in their own ways and they don’t want to explore,” he told News24.
