5 Things You Should Know About The Real M.X.O.He is popularly known as, The Real M.X.O, but his real name is Mxolisi Mbatha and was born in Tembisa, a large township north of Kempton park in Jozi.

Here are 5 things you should know about The Real M.X.O:

The 35-year-old go -getter started playing music in 2014 while he was a radio show host for Kasie FM (a community radio station).

The upcoming DJ wants to be remembered as a man that kept his word, creating music which makes people happy. The Real M.X.O loves to connect to every person, he like to inspire, and give hope to those who are down.He wants to become one of the best Dj’s in the world.

The Real M.X.O is inspired by Black Coffee – whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo-one of the leading South African DJs and record producer.

The Real M.X.O identifies himself as ‘Loxion’ Zulu man as he does not fully subscribe to most Zulu culture. Well, that sounds spicy, we know, but well issues of identity are complex and unique to each person.

The Real M.X.O comes from a small family and had a normal childhood which was filled with love, care and laughter. He says, “growing up in the township taught me a lot of things, one of them is to be humble at all times.”
