5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Cyfred. Amapiano is potentially on pace to influence a significant portion of the overall sonic landscape of some parts of the continent and penetrate further into other markets, reaching new audiences. It is already being produced in the UK, Japan, US and other countries.By now, it’s an open secret that amapiano is being produced outside of South Africa where it originates.

Here are 5 things you probably didn’t know about Cyfred:

1. Cyfred Siemela, better known as Cyfred, is a producer, vocalist and DJ who is especially known for his Amapiano bangers. After initially starting out as a dancer, the Polokwane-born artist ventured into music professionally after finishing high school.

2.In 2019, Cyfred made an impression on listeners through his charismatic vocals on Caltonic SA’s Heat Overload. This set him on a trajectory that no one could have predicted. That same year, he released his debut EP, 45 Degrees Piano, with features from Unlimited Soul and Musa Keyz (his bandmate in the duo The Yanos)..

3. Cyfred’s breakthrough moment came early 2020 when the rapper Seekay performed a viral freestyle over the hard-hitting Alostro Effect, leading to an expanded version of the track known as Snake Park.

4. On his 2021 EP Chapter 1, Cyfred showcases his growth and constant evolution by incorporating soulful sounds and elements from the homegrown genre Bacardi.

5. As a follow up to his 2021 EP and first single of the year, Your Body features international trailer-blazers Focalistic and Musa Keys on the catchy number elevated by Focalistic’s ongoing glory and the mellow energy so often sought of Musa Keys. The trio have an undeniable chemistry.
