Focalistic Explains The Meaning Behind His New Song, ‘Khekheleza’! President yastrata, Focalistic’s new offering titled ‘Khekheleza’ featuring EeQue and Thama Tee has been making waves since its release. It has taken over popular social media platforms like TikTok with its accompanying dance.
The music video for the song was released on Youth Day which might have been strategic considering what Focalistic describes the song to be about. The song breaks down the obstacles that young people face before succeeding. Speaking to Tbo Touch on Metro FM about the song, Focalistic said he felt that he needed to give the youth advice to the youth and that’s why the song dropped on Youth Day. He explained that the song means taking it easy is better than rushing. “We had to give this message out on Youth Day especially,” he said.
As one of the artists who has had a few songs go viral and international stars seen jamming to them, Focalistic also opened up about how that helps him as an artist. “It’s very helpful that’s why on Tik Tok a lot of people want to see how you present the music in the most natural state. They’re tired of seeing videos every time, they wanna see how do you enjoy the song and when you show them that you do enjoy it as well that’s how the world gravitates the song. People want to see artists for who they really are,” he explained.
Focalistic revealed that the hashtag for ‘Khekheleza’ had over 100k videos made on Tik Tok with people taking on the dance challenge. “That was the first time I created a dance challenge in my life,” he added.
