M.J Names The Amapiano Artists He Wishes To Collaborate With. M.j is a rising vocalist whose real name is Jacob Mongezi Skosana. The young star was born and raised in Kwandebele in the Mpumalanga province. M.J grew up in a family of singers and this greatly influenced his career path. During his high school days, he formed a local band with his friends and in the year 2020, he went full on his craft with the announcement of 5 A.M EP.

M.J had always had a passion for music since his childhood days. Since the start of his professional career, he has worked with DBN Gogo, Blacknick, Masterblaq, Mpura, Mr JazziQ, Mellow & Sleazy and other top acts to numerous to mention. While he has worked with a number of stars, he wishes to collaborate with more. “I’d like to collaborate with Caspper, Amaroto, and even Young Stunna, In fact, Young Stunna told me that if I release a project and he is not there he will be mad at me. So yeah.”

He also opened up about how his popular hit single ‘Teka’ came about. “We were in the studio, and just chilling with the gents. So I was working at Black Is Brown record label, and there we would eat, live, and sleep music. So we were in the studio having a session and that’s how Teka came about.”

“I have about 40-something unreleased tracks in my phone. So yes, they are a lot. But I will release once the person I worked with on that particular track has given me the go-ahead.”One of his tracks captures the attention of footballer Pogba who shared a video of himself vibing to the track on his instagram story. “When I saw football star Pogba vibing to my track, I felt happy. It meant that me and my music are being recognised. As a guy from the hood, that was very big.”
